에 이어 이번 달에도 POP 앨범에서 한 곡을 소개드립니다. POP 앨범에 관한 소개는 윗 글을 참조해 주시기 바랍니다.
앨범의 첫 싱글이자 대표곡으로 상당히 테크노 적인 사운드를 담고 있습니다. 1996년 말 즈음 이 곡의 30초 샘플이, 뒤이어는 완성된 곡이 유출되어 버리면서 U2 는 어쩔수 없이 발매일을 앞당기게 됐다고 하는군요.
시절의 사운드와 더 흡사하다고 합니다. 버티고 투어에서는 조금 더 락 스러운 버전이 연주되었다고 하는데 정작 U2 멤버들은 그 사운드를 마음에 들어하지 않았다고 하네요.
당시 싱글 차트 성적은 영국, 캐나다 등에서 #1위를 기록했으며 미국에서는 모던 락 차트와 곡 분위기처럼 댄스 뮤직/클럽 플레이 차트에서 #1위를 기록했군요. ^^
